I think that we can all agree that Walgreens is pretty boring this week, but the one item that I didn’t list in the full matchups was this possibly free Colgate toothbrushes. I do that purposely because I’d rather go through the pain of the trial (which we know it will be!) and then tell you first thing on Sunday than have you all do it and have an awful shop. So here’s the deal:
Colgate 360 Toothbrush varieties are on sale for $3.49
There is a $1 Colgate 360 coupon in the April Walgreens coupon booklet, BUT we all know that if the coupon isn’t highlighted in the Walgreens ad, there’s likely going to be an issue.
You can use a $.50 Colgate from 4/13 SS
If all coupons worked, you’d pay $1.99 and get $2 RR back (which is the deal stated in the paper, just without the $1 coupon, making it look like you pay $.99 total)
If this worked, your final price would be free!
So here’s what ACTUALLY happened with my shop this morning. Nothing was marked (it’s Easter, so I’m giving them a break on that), so I brought a few different 360 varieties up to the register to scan. Only one (the Colgate Optic White 360) showed up at the price of $3.49. Okay, cool. There was only one left, but that’s okay. We have all week to do this deal. My cashier scanned the item and I handed over the $1 coupon from the Walgreens coupon booklet. The register said that the item didn’t match the coupon. The coupon DOES say any Colgate 360 Toothbrush, so someone came over to the cashier and had her just adjust the price of the item to $2.49. I used my $.50 coupon and paid $1.99 plus tax. Then, no Register Reward. Was it because of the price adjustment? Maybe. Was it because we scanned the random coupon and it didn’t take? Maybe. Was it because the Cubs haven’t won a World Series in over 100 years? Maybe. Who knows. The manager scanned a qualifying toothpaste and gave me the $2 RR from that scan. I don’t know if I’ll be going back to try it again, but I’d love to hear what happens if you try the deal! Leave a comment about what happened to you!
