There weren’t any deals at Walgreens or CVS that caught my eye this week until today! I wanted to grab some super cheap Diet Coke and then I found an expired $3 off 3 Twizzlers Twists Candy Bags CVS coupon that was still good! (My store accepts expired coupons for up to two weeks after the STORE coupons have expired – not manufacturer’s coupons!). As a bonus, when I scanned my card at the Red Instant Coupon Machine, I got a free $2 ECB for my summer earnings. Yep, they pay you just for having shopped at CVS at all! Here’s what I did at CVS:
3 Diet Coke 12 pks 3/$9 (although the register first run up $5.49 each and THEN reduced to $9)
3 Twizzlers Twists Halloween Candy 22 oz $2.50 each (Used $1.60/2 Twizzlers Twists coupon AND $3/3 Twizzlers CVS coupon)
Used $4.99 ECB from previous weeks AND free $2 ECB from quarterly earnings
Paid $4.91 plus tax, Got $1 ECB from Twizzlers (wyb 2) and $5 ECB from Coke
Final Price: $3.90 for everything (factoring in the free $2)
Because it makes me happy to think of it this way, I’ve decided that the breakdown is that the Diet Coke 12 pks were $.66 each and the Halloween Candy was $.63 each, which brings us to the $3.90! Now that’s a deal!
