I was super excited to shop today! The one bummer is that because I had two weddings last weekend, I only had one set of newspaper inserts (the one delivered to my home), so I couldn’t do the Theraflu moneymaker, but I’m not complaining! Before going to CVS I found a $2 off $10 Oral Care CVS coupon in my stash and when I scanned my card at the Red Instant Coupon Machine, I got $5 ECB from my Beauty Club purchases! So I started out my shop with a $5 moneymaker. (I can’t stress enough that you should join the Beauty Club! There are SO many items that apply and you will just randomly get $5 ECB when you spend $50 in that area. DO IT!). Because I had the $2 off $10, I threw in a travel sized Colgate to push my total over $10 and make my deal a moneymaker. Here’s what I did:
CVS
2 Crest Sensi Care Rinse 16.9 oz $4.79 each (Used 2 $1.50 from 9/28 P&G)
1 Colgate Max Fresh Travel Size $1.27
Used $2 off $10 Oral Care CVS coupon BEFORE any other coupons
Also used $5.50 ECB from previous weeks
Paid $.35 plus tax, Got $6 ECB
Final Price: $.15 moneymaker
Walgreens
Transaction #1
2 Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste 2/$5 (Used 2 $1 from 9/28 SS)
Also used 2,000 points from previous weeks
Paid $1 plus tax, Got $3 RR
Final Price: Free
Transaction #2
6 Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner 3/$10 ($20) (Used 3 $4/2 Pantene coupons)
1 Act Popcorn $.25 w/in-ad coupon (this was my filler so that I could use my RR)
Used $3 RR from previous transaction
Paid $5.25 plus tax, Got 5,000 points
Final Price: $3.25
Transaction #3
2 Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste 2/$5 (Used 2 $1 from 9/28 SS)
Also used 2,000 points from previous transaction
Paid $1 plus tax, Got $3 RR
Final Price: Free
Transaction #4
4 Aleve PM $4.99 each (Used 4 $3 Aleve PM from 9/28 SS)
Used Get 50 points for every $1 in Health Care in-ad coupon
Paid $7.96 plus tax, Got 4950 points and $19.96 Aleve towards SavingStar (this is on a $25 purchase, not $18 like I was thinking, so I need to purchase more to get $5 back!)
Final Price: $3.01 moneymaker
I kept my eyes open for the free Jiffy Mix, but neither of my stores carried Jiffy. Also, I decided to hang onto my second $3 RR and see what I could do with it in the next two weeks. I’d rather not spend money on a filler if I might be able to use it on something completely free in the next few weeks. We shall see!
After all was said and done, I paid a total of $1.11 for everything when you include the $5 ECB from the Beauty Club! I hope my shop gives you some ideas! Happy shopping!
