If you are in the Chicagoland area and you’ve been looking for a market that you can feel good about shopping at, check out the Thyme Farmers Market in Morton Grove! With their grand opening tomorrow 4/23, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is all about fresh food that is locally grown. The grand opening event will feature food samplings and giveaways including a grocery bag giveaway to the first 200 customers on grand opening day, so try to be there at 7AM when they open! The celebration will continue throughout the week with events for kids including face painting, balloon animals, and performances by Miss Jamie from the Farm.
Here’s what they have to say about their mission and philosophy:
“At Fresh Thyme Farmers Markets we believe you shouldn’t have to give away the farm to feed your body nutritious food. We’re on a mission to improve the way our communities eat by offering fresh and healthy food at amazing values -all in a vibrant and fun shopping environment, with smiling friendly faces.
The foundation of healthy eating is often based on incorporating more fresh fruits and vegetables in our diets. Therefore, at the core of our offerings is an abundant produce department, overflowing with fruits and vegetables, fresh from the farm, often locally grown and much of it organic. We’re so passionate about produce that we’ve made it the nucleus of the store, ensuring the bounty of fruits and vegetables is visible from all other departments.”
I love farmers markets and try to get to one at least every other week all summer long, but there is a huge lack of options every other day of the week as well as during the colder months. I’m very much looking forward to checking out this store!
To get everyone excited about the grand opening, I am giving one lucky winner a $50 Fresh Thyme Farmers Market Gift Card!
To enter this giveaway, complete any or all of the options listed below. Giveaway ends 4/29. Good luck!
