Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Book Giveaway!

by Alli on February 20, 2013

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid BooksHas your child gotten into the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books? I have to be honest, I knew very little about them before the 7th book came out last year, but then it was all the rage! You’d have to have been hiding under a rock if you were actively shocking and not heard the buzz! My son started reading the first book shortly after that, as he started asking for the 7th book. I suggested that he might read them in order. He’s now in the middle of the third book (taking time off in between for some Harry Potter) and he’s completely in love. I often hear him laughing in his room, which is my favorite thing. You mean 1) my son is spending quality time with himself 2) reading for long periods of time and 3) happy?? Yes please!!

Since my kids are some of my favorite people to interview for reviews, here’s what my son had to say (verbatim!):

“You’d be ready to read these books when you’re 5 or 6 if you can read. I like that Greg is so into crazy video games. I like the jokes because…………. the first joke in the book is REALLY funny. The person who’s asking it says “Knock, Knock” Then Greg says “Huh?” The guy says “Thermos” “Excuse me?” Rowley said “Thermos be some way to tickle your funny bone.”

He then proceeded to laugh and shake his head as if to say, “Silly Rowley.” My boy cracks me up. That being said, if your child cannot read or is just learning at 5 or 6 years old, it might be a great option for you to read together! It’ll feel more like fun and less like practice – always a good thing!

To get everyone excited about the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books, I am giving one lucky winner a copy of any one of the existing Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books #1-#7!
