Walgreens Deal Updates: Free Snickers Easter Candy, Moneymaking Almay, Free Revlon Emery Boards

by Alli on March 20, 2011

If this week at Walgreens weren’t hot enough already, there’s more! I went to Walgreens this morning to work the deals and here are a few things I noticed:

Snickers Easter Eggs are regularly priced at 2/$1
Use $1/2 Mars Easter Candy from 3/20 RP
Final Price: 2 Free!

Revlon Emery Boards sell for $1.79
Use $2 Revlon Beauty Tools printable coupon
Final Price: Free!
Plus, after I did this transaction, a $2 Revlon Beauty Tools Cat coupon popped out, so make sure to check if you do this deal. More free Emery Boards!

Just before I left for Walgreens, I happened upon a deal that said that Almay Eye Makeup Remover Pads or Liquid are ringing up Buy One, Get One 50% Off and still producing the $5 Register Rewards. I tried it and it kind of worked:

Buy 2 Almay Makeup Remover $4.54 shelf price in Chicago
Use $2 Almay Makeup from 3/6 SS
Use $2 Almay from Spring Beauty Guide (will take off $4)
Another $1.74 came off from the 50% discount (although that’s not 50%)
I paid $1.34 + tax and got a $5 CAT
Final Price: $3.66 Moneymaker!

A few things about this deal – first, you will have to look for the Spring Beauty Guide at cosmetics. The Almay coupon inside says that it’s a manufacturer’s coupon, but it’s not, it’s a store coupon. It WILL work – I just did it this morning. If you can point out to the cashier that it has no “redeem at” address, hopefully they’ll let it through – or at least try it for you!

Second, you could probably use two $2 Almay coupon from the 3/6 SS to get a lot more in overage if you give the Beauty Guide coupon second. You will need a filler to cover it, but it would make for a fantastic deal if your cashier is willing!

Third, deals like this are usually only available for a limited time. It’s usually because the Walgreens system hasn’t updated completely and will likely catch up overnight tonight. I don’t know this for a fact, but if you really want to do this deal, I’d go shopping today.

(Thanks Centsable Shoppin!)

In SW Florida the store manager would not let me use both.
I even pointed out that it was a Wags coupon, but he said that it says MQ on the back and that Wag’s can submit it. How long can you argue with people?
