You all know about the hot deal on Finish Electrasol Dish Tabs this week at Walgreens, but you might want to pick up a few additional papers today for the one that’s starting next week at CVS!
It looks like there is going to be a Buy $20, Get $10 ECB deal that will include the Finish Tabs. Finish will be on sale for $3 each. Here’s how to work this deal if you have enough coupons:
Buy 7 Finish Tabs $21
Use 7 $2.25 Finish from 1/2 SS
Pay $5.25, Get $10 ECB
Final Price: $3.75 Moneymaker AND you get 7 free boxes of dishwasher detergent – something that’s almost never available for a good price!
I have not seen the 1/9 ad scan yet, but I’ve read this possible deal in several places now. I will let you know definitely as soon as I see the ad scan, but it’s better to be overprepared and use the coupons at Walgreens this week than not be able to find the coupon after today!
I have not found the $2.25 coupon available at any coupon clipping services, but there are a ton being sold on Ebay.

FWIW, I bought 4 Sunday papers today at State&Division CVS, and not one of them had coupons in it! What kind of BS is that? They cost full price, too.
Now I have to go back and try to return them.
Update: CVS took the papers back, so I went to check nearby Walgreens, and their papers had no coupons, either. Weird.
sad to say but someone probably stole the q’s out of them..it happens alot..never pay full price though…hit dollar tree or menards.
i hit 3 wags today and all sold out. what is the raincheck policy on a RR deal?
@Annie, that stinks. The five papers I bought today were missing both Red Plums, so I think that was a Tribune issue today. A lot of people do take the inserts, though, like Becky said. I try to look at each bag carefully before I buy them to make sure they’re not opened, but it doesn’t always work out, unfortunately. Karma…
@Brenda The raincheck thing may vary by store, but with something that’s not free after RR, it’s WAY easier. Talk to the manager and see what they can do for you. They might offer to give you a raincheck for $1.99 each. Then you could use your coupon (which they’d reduce) to get them for free. If you’d rather not deal with the hassle, I posted earlier today that there’s an upcoming CVS deal as well. I’m almost positive that it’s happening, but I’ll update when the ad scan is released.
same here went ot both wags here and both sold out before noon! bummer!
My home delivered Trib had all 5 inserts, but one that was picked up at Wags was missing the 2 Red Plums also. I already ordered extra Finish q’s from eBay for next week! =)
Alli, do you have a list of our CVS local stores that start their Sunday ad on Saturday? I’ll be going to Antioch and if I can go Saturday for this week’s & next week’s deals (& get a jump on the Finish) that would be great!
Also, do we know if this is a Limit 1 deal?
Thanks! =)
Hey Amy,
Yes, it is a limit of 1 (unfortunately!). That stinks about the RP inserts! I wonder what the scoop was this weekend. I haven’t had that happen in a long time.
I wish I had a list of stores, but I don’t. I’m not sure it’s an advertised kinda thing, just something you pick up from shopping there. If you call a few of the locations in the area they should be able to tell you, though. It’s not a secret. BUT, they may say that it starts at 6PM on Saturday. That’s what I was told for the longest time and it wasn’t true. I can’t say that it’s not true elsewhere, but a cashier friend told me it’s all up to the manager as to when the new deals start. So it’s kind of hit or miss if it’s a new store.
Thanks Alli, I’ll have to give them a call today & ask (the store is newer and the employees and manager are really nice, so hopefully I’ll get a polite & straight answer). I’m so excited for this deal since it’s a win-win for everyone even if they are out since they give full rainchecks! =)
Quick question – Is the $20 total that you must spend, “Before” or “After” the coupons that I use. Sometimes my CVS,makes me get to that total after using coupons…In other words, I have 7, $1/1 coupons…so if I bought 7 boxes…I would not yet hit that $20 mark and would have to buy a lot more to get that total needed….hope this makes sense :/
