Walgreens announced recently that they are going to test a loyalty card in four undisclosed locations this spring as one attempt to bring in higher sales. CVS has had very good results with it’s loyalty card (although they’re not making much from us!) and Walgreens is looking to jump on that bandwagon.
We obviously don’t know where the test markets will be, but it wouldn’t shock me if one of them was Chicago. It’s a large enough market to attract a good deal of consumers and we have a ton of Walgreens locations. There is no way to know what they will choose, though. Anyone have any guesses? And what do you think about a new loyalty card? It would stop us from buying 10 of any one item, but there could be perks with $/$$ coupons and bonuses every so often.
(Thanks i heart wags!)
