This is for all of you who have ever purchased through the Easy Bakeware site. I am not going to post a link, as I don’t want to direct you to it. This site offers a free monthly piece of bakeware with $1 shipping if you agree to sign up for a trial program. The trial program is free for a week and then charges are applied to your card. As long as you cancel before that week, you are not charged and you pay only $1 for your bakeware piece. Good deal, right??
I have done this a few times. It took weeks and weeks with no response, so I emailed about my orders. I received a response quickly and my orders arrived a week or so later. This was months ago.
BUT, in the last week I was contacted by my credit card company about a suspicious charge from Digital River. I had not ordered anything and neither had my husband. We couldn’t imagine what had happened. The card was canceled and we were not charged. I just read that his has been happening to various other people. I write this post only so that those of you who have ever used this site are aware. Please check your credit card statements! Check the statements of every card that you have used or think that you have used on that site. The charges are in the vicinity of $180 – $200. Hopefully this isn’t even an issue for any of you and those of you who haven’t visited the site won’t in the future. If I’ve saved any of you a hassle, I’ve done my job.
